Ajani Village has produced outstanding men and women who defended the dignity, culture, and progress of Ichida. Ajani Day honours these heroes, including:

  • Chief Ezeudegbunam Ezeokonkwo – Warrant Chief

  • Mr. Gilbert Iloehiagu – Defender of Ichida’s honour

  • Dim E.E. Nwosu (Dim IV of Ichida) – Community pillar

  • Late Barr. Gabriel Oyibo Azike – Ajani’s first lawyer

  • Late Dr. Chika Remmy Nwosu – Ajani’s first doctor

  • Late Mr. Basil Abazu – Builder of St. Simon’s Anglican Church

  • Late Mr. Matthew Obiajulu Okonkwo – Co-founder of IPU Onitsha

Ajani also celebrates farmers, craftsmen, teachers, nurses, footballers, women leaders, and welfare committee members who upheld unity and development.
